impact is cute and all, I'm just not buying Beyonce and Jay as altruistic community activists just because Beyonce puts out a video with her saying several pro-black lines tucked in with money brags.
I think we should wait a little while longer to see how this plays out, the next single could be a drunk in love/sl rehash to ease things over with the white fans she pissed off.

I can agree that I'm not sitting here thinking that 'fas is the female MLK or some mess either.
At the end of the day she is still an entertainer. So I am not expecting a full alber of Negro Spirituals from her, or even Fuck The Police interludes.
But she proved that she's an artist. Not some play-it-safe, Yes Massah ass puppet that's afraid to piss off some white folk. That alone gets multiple points in my book. And you know how I feel about pride in heritage and knowing your heritage, there's definitely strength in that and the fact that she is openly embracing her African roots, sets an example.
Whether or not she is genuine about this, I could careless. Formation knocks and there are little girls out there who see a beautiful Black woman unafraid to claim her roots and send a political message on a GRAND stage. The grandest stage in America at that. Not just whispering some mess in a chicken shack somewhere.
