I try to look at things from both points of view and I can get the argument sometime, sorry. Some of these young white kids today are so far removed from slavery and these things that we live everyday. I can see them being like wtf is the big deal
They are ignorant of the hardships of African Americans and I SOMETIMES dont think its anything more than that. We probably all could benefit from a walk in the other's shoes

empathy? i've been talking about this for months....

until we learn how to put ourselves in a cow, chicken, fish,goats shoes...that is,  living an entire life or rape (artificlal insemination) and torture, we will never have the ability to empathize with OTHER human beings

this is the no.1 reason the world is so messed up...people are INSANELY selfish and do not have the ability to even IMAGINE themselves walking in someone elses shoes

That was a great analogy but you do know that humanity is one species and despite our differing skin colors and hair textures we are all pretty much the fucking same thing at the end of the day right?

I hate this rebuttal too ... because  they have the movements wrong. And most whites aren't really educated on the affects slavery had and still has

they really see black power and black lives matter as promoting pride in our race

both those movements were started to SAVE our lives, standing up for ourselves.

He/She can have all the pride they want in their race, doesn't bother me or make me feel inferior.
