Black R&B soul artist being stuck on URBAN AC RADIO ONLY - and getting no love from MAINSTREAM RADIO!!!! You can't expect anyone to download, run to a store and buy or steam an album that they don't know EXIST. Shame #1 for 16 weeks and still only being played on urban AC????

If Ty's song can't even get from Urban AC to URBAN radio, then...

not for nothing, the elephant in the room is HipHop/Rap.
but no one is really touching on it per se.

it's so bad, IMO... that i already know if you're an R&B artist (other than Bey/Rih - who are POP artists as well), you won't be seeing a Top 10 or Top 20 hit on Urban radio anymore.

I agree with him about having a massive meeting with R&B greats. They need to plan a massive MUSIC SHOW on like CBS with 3 hours of today's new R&B greats and some of the vets and legends also. They need support again. They dont have support and we are watching the genre slowly fade away.

If Beyonce released Begging and Pleading it would be all over radio and be treated as a pop chune because its Bey.

There's no reason why Beggin and Pleading isnt #1; other than the simple fact that R&B gets NO love, NO support.

Its NOTHING compared to the other artists. Hell, even Hip Hop is thriving. Thats how I kno we cant blame the black community. Hip Hop artist have alot of white love and support. R&B doesnt.

Drake and Future can do 500k
New artists like Fetty Wap are pumping out 80-120k first week


Vets like Monica and Robert are doing 35k
New artists like Sevyn are doing 17k

There's an imbalance here folks. We need to do something about it.

And the Grammys aren't really all about chart success, especially when it comes to the R&B categories. If that was the case, Post To Be would've been nominated in the R&B categories besides the likes of Tyrese and Jazmine.
