Well shit, I feel stupid now. Why do they have a Hispanic box then.

Hispanic is still a real and separate mess, they definitely have their own unique composition genetically.

It's just that the DNA tests break it down into continents, that's all.

Just like by saying "African American", you're gonna find a mix of West African and European. Hispanic just means you're of Puerto Rican, South American, etc etc descent. regardless of whether your skin looks black or white.

It definitely still is it's own category.  imo
