A friend and I were talking about this earlier and I realized the oldest gay black men I know are in their mid to late forties. I've never met an elderly gay black man that lived to see his later years.

It all kind of makes sense when you take into account the way the gay community was ravaged by the HIV/AIDS pandemic back in the eighties plus drugs tearing through black neighborhoods along the east coast...it all makes sense.
