I think it's more of a spiritual, powerful feeling you get while with someone. How connected you feel with them or if there is a strong sense of familiarity and comfortability.

I also don't think soulmates are just romantic partners. Could be a best/great friend or another significant figure in your life.

However when talking about SoulMATES, we break down the word mate and realize that this is a word that discusses duality, and two joining. Meaning they are meant for each other. They complete each other now by being two things now described as one.
