Of course it sounds flat because she's in a lower key than the recording. May not be everyone's cup of tea but Rih is never doing that, and that is facts.

That girl is bringing something to music that's missing and that's actually singing. I'm not here for technicality because at the end of the day music is supposed to heal, uplift, it's supposed to feel. I feel every lyric, run and more that girl sung. She's so anointed.

I saddens me some done get what's actually happening in this video.
It's amazing. The judges aren't crazy or just pulling for her just because. This is a stumpy thick blAck chick with an Afro.

But everyone in that room KNOWS just how magical her voice is.
It blesses you if you let it...

She's very good, imo. Good tone, great low register extension, intonation was consistent throughout. I haven't watched this season but she's clearly a standout.

Only criticism is maybe a few too many runs taking from the melody, but she usually waited for the middle or end of a line to riff. But I agree with young, she kinda let the music take control.

yea like I said before, she just needs to work on her placement. The runs were nice and she has a good ear for runs, but NOT where to place them. They're literally all over the place

It's not even about how many she did. But yes she's gifted
