Wow so Martin was an egomaniac

and while I like that he's talking about it, I kinda hate it. I liked thinking they were all so cool and friends beyond the show. I get why he was an egomaniac, he was the star of the best damn show on tv (urban wise). This really was an ensemble cast tho, EVERYBODY added something. The show was TERRIBLE when Gina refused to film with martin.

I mean, I still am but you could see the change in him when she left. He was way different. Completely different energy

It was so off! I wouldnt have thought that gina not being there would have made a big difference, not like it did. They all really needed each other. I thought Pam was gonna get a spin off judging from some of those episodes but even those werent as funny and Pam was damn near my favorite character

Martin is one show that I've consistently watched throughout my life. I've watched every episode at least once or twice and I still crack up like it's the first fcking time. 

I could see Martin being difficult behind the scenes then tho tbh. He probably had a lot to deal with at that time.

I think people woulda REALLY hated that.  Their chemistry wasn't something to be manufactured.  Like u said the show was going off anyway,  let's just get thru with the original cast. I think it woulda been really weird seeing another actress step in for one episode to play gina

And legally could they even do that?  She was willing to work just not be put in a situation where she felt unsafe. Im sure if they just recasted alot of people would've been up in arms and probably even given her grounds to sue
