A young black girl somwhere now loves her nose and she can thank Bey for that.
Well like I said, I wasn't trying to be condescending. I won't be rude like you cause that would take away the effectiveness of what I'm trying to convey to you.

What I just quoted, the same can be said for COUNTLESS songs made by black female artists. So while I applaud you for finally admitting the song isn't some Civil Rights defining moment, you fall flat by trying to group Beyonce with Martin Luther King sir, and it was upsetting that you guys just wouldn't ADMIT that because of your love for this woman. I understand you guys are stans lolz.

And you're wrong when you say, "oh that was the 60's", obviously you've been sleeping or just unaware of your surroundings. The fight still continues. And if you think fucking men and buying him Red Lobster, OR carrying hot sauce in your bag, should constitute pride in your culture, it's just... it's sad. Our younger generation is already full of delus' of grandeur anyway...

but carry on Gyn...

No one said she was or compared her to Martin Luther King! Stop adding words to my statements to defend your narrative.

You clearly see carrying hot sauce in your bag or having sex with your husband and going to Red Lobster as a negative thing. I dont! Its not hurting or killing anyone, its simply apart of Southern black culture. What I dont understand is why of all the profound lyrics and imagery in the video, you choose to harp on only ONE line that you dont like. Simply because it doesnt define your black.

Do you not like a full nose? Do you not love natural black hair? Do you not want the police to stop shooting us? Do you not want to see black history celebrated on a national main stage? Do you not want black women to get informed? Do you not think black people slay? Do you not want to be celebrated for grinding and working hard for what you believe in?

Have you missed all of that simply because of one lyric?
boy you thought I was being condescending so you went on attack, cause all the things that you're saying are not really wavering my stance.

And ok, let's address what the song stands for. OF COURSE a statement was made, a lot of artists make statements through their music.

But my issue, stems from the fact that you guys wanted it to be some call to action for ALL Black people. Or as stRay called us "ghetto"

Black culture is not simply "ghetto" and saying that you carry hot sauce in your damn purse is not a call to action :dead:

Especially when we have so many single mothers on the system, uneducated youth, unruly or lost young men. But you keep thinking its a positive message. That's your prerogative.

I'm just giving you the reality

You didnt answer not 1 of my question! You simply reverted back to the same fucking lyric your brain seems to be held prisoner too. Alot of artist make statements in there music, but they arent making THIS STATEMENT.

I didnt say it was a call for action for ALL black people....so again your adding words to fit you argument. If there was a call it cleary was "Lets get Information" not hotsauce.

You can not expect one song to be all inclusive of every black because we are too diverse. However, Katrina, Michael Brown, Freddie Grey, Black Panthers were all in the ghetto! Where else would she shoot the damn video? What else would it show?

To have a group of black men stand up and say "Sister we will protect and serve you  even if the police will not" is a statement kids need to see in itself!
Gyn! I haven't added any words to my stance. I've been saying the same thing since before you came in :dead:
I answered all your questions in general, by saying if those lyrics empower you, it's great!

And ok, let's really break this down. The VISUAL was added retro-active. Drai said its a leftover from BEYONC? recording sessions lolz

So Without the visual what would the song be?
Just another Flawless right?

And yes, I feel its opportunistic because she's only spoken about it thru music. Shit be a woman and release a press statement saying stop fckn killing us. But don't expect me to grovel because Bey's music video director places statements in her videos :uhh:

Y'all give Formation too much. It's really not that deep imo. It's more so "shock value" than empowering. :dead: That's why I can somewhat see why the gorls say she used the issue as an opportunity to out edge herself. No one would ever think BLEACHonce would make a song like that.... And I'm sure she fucking knew it. :dead:

Regardless of her intentions, I can still appreciate the song though... I just don't think it's that deep.  Especially igniting a "movement". If anything, the movement was already in formation..

Never carried hot sauce in my purse, and i'm from Mississippi! Use to love it, though! I eat cayenne pepper now. It's better. It doesn't add all that sodium to your food.  :dead:

Oh, and white folks love hot sauce! Child, the ones in Texas love it!   :kii:

stRay you know the song "supposedly" has LGBT advocacy elements.

Why haven't you addressed them? Don't you support the song and therefore supporting various LGBT issues now?

Right?
