They both love Brandy. they weren't going to get to see her so when she decided to extend her run, they were happy at the idea that they would get to see her. it was an overall experience for them. So he decided to ask for his hand in marriage in front of their fave especially knowing how much Bran means to him. Not for nothing, but that's something you will never ever forget. EVER! Only thing I didn't like is how he delivered the ring. I would've got on one knee.
