Who's to say Kandi's family member didn't have a worse situation than Apollo?or that her particular family member didn't have a spouse and children? 

Luckily everyone may have bounced back from the cancellation, but that was Kandi's guilt at the time.

Phaedra made that choice to live with him and marry his ass, and either play coy or just be plain dumb enough to not know what her husband did for a living. Her mistake.
