uo is working on the follow-up to their debut.



It's been less than a year since dumblonde dropped their self-titled independent debut album, but it's on to the next for former Danity Kane songbirds Aubrey O'Day and Shannon Bex.

In promotion for her appearance on E!'s "Famously Single," which is where she met her current bae Pauly D (Yes, we're talking about THAT Pauly from MTV's "Jersey Shore"), AOD shared some insight on what she and Shannon are cooking for the next chapter of dumblonde. "We're actually on our sophomore album right now. We're in the studio finishing it up," O'Day explained during a recent NBC press day interview. "We're gonna take a completely different direction with this album. It's gonna be unexpected, and we're playing with a new sound that isn't familiar to us."

Fans of the debut, which nabbed a coveted spot on Rolling Stone's Best Pop Album Of 2015 list, saw the twosome carve their very own lane of alt/pop and release a string of self-produced videos. Fingers crossed that their sophomore effort will produce just as much content!

Even though it sounds like the ladies wanted the the set out earlier, Aubrey said, "It's been taking a bit of time to get it exactly how we want it. We're being pushed creatively. We're back in the studio with the same team."

In the meantime, you can look forward to Aubrey's return to the reality television realm when "Famously Single" premieres on June 14 at 10 p.m on E!.
