I get what he's saying cause I get told that in real life. Like people assume I'm not up to AA culture. Just the other day some black girl was like "I thought you listen to white ppl music" just based on how I speak :ohwow: Ignorant af

I purposely went with an accent that could be authentic to my phenotype. And my African American accent is pretty flawless lolz.

Naturally as kid I would have a Nigerian English accent, for academic purposes I acquired an American one.

Funny thing is, me and my sis often got asked if we were American when we were kids (we still do, especially since we moved to the UK).


Our accent sounds like a mix between American and Irish.
