Well judging from what he said about being able to pull the single, it sounds like he can TRY that with the album and any other projects she tries to work on

because there's a clause in her contract that releases her when she's ready
It just has to be done in a certain way
And judging by their lack of communication .. It hasn't fully been dissolved!
I'm sure she would have to submit a letter of termination and he would have to sign it .. These things could take time if one party wants to drag it out

That's what he's saying.. That "technically" she's signed to him still... But that can be overruled in a lil court battle mess
