Herb.

But the video, I don't know. I can't fake stan and say that I'm hooping and hollering in joy about it
But I think it's good for people who have not heard the song yet.

I didn't even read this thesis from Prescott. Who cares about what his side is. He's trash.

Since some of you know so much why are you wasting your talents and not trying to get into the music business? These artists could really benefit from your knowledge and guiding their career.

It kinda bother me how these girls are sitting up here acting like Brandy was slaying like Bey or Rihanna after 2003. Bran even came out her mouth and verbatim said most of the shit he said in that press release. I don't want it to come off disrespect to my Queen but I definitely don't stan for Brandy because of her sales or success.

No one is denying facts about her declining sales and lack of commercial success in recent years.

It's the way it was presented in the statement to make Chameleon Ent. And Breyon Prescott look innocent in the matter.

Brandy has never been dropped. And despite what some fans think, Brandy has never chosen acting over music. The Television Industry just so happens to provide more support.

$600,000 and a $75k advance for a SIX album deal is incredibly low for someone of her caliber.

Exactly.  He made it seem like he was Brandy's only option.  And without him she would just be nowhere.  Like, does he even have any other big names signed to Chameleon? Brandy signed a one album deal with RCA. We, the fans, knew this from the jump.  Now, she was dropped?  Brandy said she was pretty much promised at least 3 singles from 211. Then Breyon Prescott leaves RCA, and everything stopped.  Even Elle Varner, a completely new act with only one hit got 4 singles.  His deal with Epic probably messed up the rest of Brandy's project. Then he wants to blame it all on Brandy and her sudden disinterest in music.

I just can't. No wonder Jamie beat this guy like he stole something.

Maybe he was her only option? Like :uhh: Some of you are acting like you have inside knowledge.  :uhh: He does, you don't. :uhh: and a lot of what he said is believable and matches the timeline of her career.

What was the purpose of bringing up the timeline of her career? When was Human named Knockout? Gorl, shut the fuck up

Knockout was probably the original name of the album. Idk but what exactly is there to lie about? :uhh: He mentioned her albums, sales and a lot of the things that was speculated about the label situation. He basically confirmed the speculation. A lot of people were saying RCA dropped her after IABTM tanked and 2/11 flopped. Some mentioned the Epic deal. It makes sense.

tigernathan

It feels so much better scrolling with him TUCKED under this ignore feature :stressed: omfff come thru Jah

RAY7

So I wonder when RCA supposedly decided to "drop" Bran because
she was in the UK on that interview like a year after 2/11 and waaay after Wildest was out still saying
"Breyon, RCA! come on!"
this nigga is full of shit

I love Brandy but I believe everything he said. I'm not a delusional stan.

You believe EVERYTHING he said, even though it's clear that he was exaggerating and straight lying about some of the "downfalls" of her career, like being dropped from multiple labels? It's not true. He was saying it just to be nasty towards her and give her negative publicity on this day when she tries to move her music career forward without him.  But you believe all of it? He didn't even get all of her album names correct.

He didn't type this press release. He gave a statement and it went from there. Everything he said was true. Y'all are blinded. If she was able to get on a label she wouldn't have been with Chameleon in the first place.

!!! and that Epic deal sounds disgust' :plzstop: She needs to turn that down ASAP
proof that niggas don't read. she turned it down like 20 times

the performance is the real video. Glad she gave both

throwintheTAL

what does him stating her previous sales prove? we're talking about now and the greedy 360 deal (which also dips into the profits of songs an artist has previously recorded) he tried to force on her. She has a right to say no to that shit if she doesn't want to go with that

QuoteThe deal was worth $600,000 with a $75,000 advance. Brandy stalled, and never signed the contract. There were no other offers. No other label wanted her, and so she did not make a new record.

The Epic offer remains and she is still signed to Chameleon.
