Yes they may be in the wrong, but there were cameras rolling, just take out your ID follow instruction so you can be in the clear. This isn't a homie on the street that you're debating with, it's a cop. Treat them like that. Thank God my best friend is training my Godson on this now. Tussling in the streets with a female cop is never gonna end well for you. 
It's not going to get you on any type of plaque, unless it's one adorning your got damn grave.
Some people get so caught up in the romantic side of the struggle that they lose touch with reality in the streets for them individually.
