Drake is walking into the BET Awards with nine nominations, nearly doubling Beyonce and Rihanna, who are up for five awards each.

BET told The Associated Press on Thursday that Drake is nominated twice for video of the year with "Hotline Bling" and "Work" with Rihanna. Other nominees for the top prize include Beyonce's "Formation," Kendrick Lamar's "Alright" and rising newcomer Bryson Tiller's "Don't."

The BET Awards will air live June 26 from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

Drake is nominated twice for best collaboration and three times for the viewer's choice award.

Beyonce and Rihanna will compete for best female R&B/pop artist along with Adele, K. Michelle and breakthrough singer Andra Day.

Chris Brown, Future and Tiller nabbed four nominations each.

I need to see the full list of nominees
but right now the only issue I see is Adele in the category
they have K Michelle and Aundra Day
so its not like only top 40 artists are getting recognized
but BET stays trying to get these white ppl to show up
Sam Smith ignored them last year now Adele's out and they're kissing her ass

but really I wouldn't mind if it wasn't so obvious that it's for ratings
if they wanna give white soulful artists awards
then they need to start with Jojo then or Tori Kelly, Jon B Robin Thicke etc

Darius Rucker is a country artist now and is a CMA winner. Should he not be nominated because he's not white? That just sounds incredibly ignorant imo
