Isn't the Centric Award supposed to be for soulful/earthy music ranging from old school soul, to blues and neo soul. Why does this read like white people compiled the nominees.

They could have had Brandy, Jazmine, Fantasia, Janelle Mon?e, Anthony Hamilton in that category... Hell or 'Bert... Or more obscure acts like Kelela, Dawn Richard or Rochelle Jordan.
