And the money should go to countries in Africa and the Caribbean that were colonized then abandoned and left in poverty.
You say that as if there are no impoverished Black communities right here in the states that have been pretty much abandoned by the government.
I say that because much of the debt in Africa and the Caribbean stems from slavery, colonialism and oppression, and also from the U.S and European governments taking advantage of their weakened states.
IMO it makes more sense to compensate the countries they raped and stole from to begin with. After slavery the population dwindled so much it affected the workforce and output, this the main reason why Africa is in this state today, hundreds of years of mismanagement, corruption ect
They have acknowledged slavery and its effects of it in the West, but no one has acknowledged the detreminteal after effects it's left an entire continent and their people in.
Africans and Caribbeans don't have the same opportunities Black Americans have to lift themselves out from poverty, to me it makes more sense to build those countries they stifled in the first place so that they wont depend on aid and handouts from the West
Just my IMO
