This makes a lot of sense. Daytime TV attracts a lot of grown women. Housewives, etc. Not too many gay men are really sitting down to watch daytime TV unless its a clip afterward on Youtube. They're out somewhere working or meeting someone off of Jack'd.

But at the same time they knew who Tamar was personality wise before she came on to do this. She hasn't changed one bit. I feel that now that the show actually has footing and is gaining loyal viewers, she's getting kicked to the curb. That's fucked up tbh. But this goes to show that sometimes your likability can make a big difference.

I think if she was more likable and open-minded they could have worked with her and maybe tweaked it a bit so she'd find more balance. But she seems hard headed, and it costed her the job. She became a liability instead of an asset. And that's the last thing you ever want to do.

If each girl is supposed to represent or appeal to a certain market, why not also market to the ghetto/ratchet?

I'm not a fan but I think it's bullshit that they fired her for that. Loni is clearly not funny and the weakest link and she still has a job.

The show knew her personality when they hired her.

I think it was more so her unprofessional behavior that was marked as "ghetto". The eye rolls, the stank face, not dancing and cheering as they all walked out, and her comments towards Jeannie.

All that probably rubbed the sponsor the wrong way. On top of the behind the scenes mess.
