Who is Jaquel Knight for us not in the know?

JaQuel choreograhped PID  and recent 'Beggin & Pleadin' BGR performance.  He's a part of Frank Gatson's camp. He and Chris Grant choreographed 'Formation World Tour' & Tinashe's shit.  He's IT!

Oh, I thought Frank Gatson did all that, but it was him. Cool!

Thanks B-)

Frank no longer choreographs.  He's a Creative Director now & hires young fresh new choreographers for Brandy,  Beyonce,  Kelly,  etc.
!!!!

He was the creative director for her EPIC performance at black girls rock just last month

And Jaquel was on choreo. He posted about it on his IG.

Yeah, it was WYTM. I didn't like how she sang it much. I hope she does it again, but changes some things.

Can we get Anybody or Apart, too Brandy?!?!  :supluv:

Yeah the arrangement on that live version of WYTM needed some work. She was tryna sing all the parts. Get some bgv woman :dead:

Yea I don't even think about that time period. It was a fucked up time and her voice was in a bad space that reflected it

Very very hoarse and the struggle was real in 2013, even though she was still singing better than most can TRY. But you could hear the pain/wear and tear (even on record)

The Chris brown/Jessie J songs and Robert glasper time period

King82

That Robert Glasper record is one of her best vocally

b7

lol I don't know about all that. It was one of her most raw vocals in studio, but that's about it for me

Definitely great though
