I love when artists take a classic sound and make it modern tbh. R.Kelly did that with When Woman Loves. Unless the music is gonna be the edgy "afrodisiac" mess i want from her, i want her making moves to making better music.  PID is elementary AF and id love for her to never do that again imhfo
This is my pass to say WHATEVER tf I wanna say about the mess she releases so I don't wanna hear SHIT! Baby mama is a mess of a song btw

She said recently that she is going to do a little bit of everything on this album. No one particular sound. So I wouldn't dig too deep into the Jazz comment.

The Human album was lowkey innovative, in spots.

I love that album. I honestly wouldn't mind more of that sound from her.

I'm waiting for Brandy to give me another Pop-Soul Mess a la Adele, Sam Smith. That's the route she needs to go because her voice would connect with that style of music so well. All the coo's and haunting vocals.
EXACTLY! But i want it edgier like the james Fauntleroy type of style. I don't want her making music for damn preschoolers

Honestly, I'm sure if she did jazz it wouldn't be a typical mess. At least I hope not, but I appreciate Brandy not putting herself into a box musically.

See the word "jazz" just kinda caught me off guard.

Album.

No one was doing what she was doing, honestly. And I'm not talking about the album in totality

I said in spots

"Quickly" with John legend really fell right in line with the sound she was doing that year, too. Really sucks that wasn't released

Not even for it to be a "hit". I just wanted a video and performance

Brandy too good for JAZZ? WTF? As if it's some section 8 shit. smh.

yeah. Do people know that Jazz is one of the MOST respected genres on the industry and world?

its a genre not for everybody and kind of a elite thing. So Brandy exploring something as complex and adult like that would be soooooooooooo interesting.

Brandy wont ever do a straigh jazz song. She would take elements here and there, and she would KILL IT, making it something soo unique and top notch quality.
