If you watch the cast interviews even they seem to be distancing themselves from it. I think the director was difficult.

Maybe something was going on on behind the scenes, but I honestly believe the cast agreed to join this because they really like the concept and the script. Just because there were some problems or not behind the scenes doesnt mean they arent proud of their work or the movie, neither that the movie is bad.

I highly highly highly doubt this darker reboot is worse than many Marvel movies. No shade. But its not like Marvel movies are masterpieces now of a sudden.

The latest Fox movies have been GOOD movies, whether they follow the comics or not is a different story. But the quality has been there: First Class, The Wolverine and Days of future past have been good. Some fans may or may not like certain things, but that happens with ALL comic movies. So....
