if ci would have released "high price" but premiered it with the right visual and without luda it was a potential slay. i think cyst forgot she could still give high octane without it giving so much booty bass.

then she had the hardest time controlling leaks. "go girl" shouldn?t have been the lead in... i mean, it would have been a cute 3rd single... but it wasn?t strong enough to lead that album. all of them fucking first singles confused us... what else was there? never ever?

and that album cover was fucking terr?.  :stressed:

i think ?love, sex & magic? would have performed better if that was what she initially dropped with the visual at the same time. i mean, it was the original ?partition? moment, just less sickening.

and she should have stuck with her ?crunk? roots. fantasy ride was way too grilled for the streets.  :young:

it lacked the ?young girl? bops that the predecessors were legendary for. and then she wondered why the girls accused ha of being so hollywood. cyst, you stopped throwing your tunes in the deep fryer.

High Price coulda went either way. Cuda been a huge hit or a huge flop. It was one of those risky songs. She would have HAD to pull a Bey and perform the hell out of it any and everywhere.

And she was also being blackballed on radio by her label, because never ever and go girl should have been bigger songs.

Her songs also kept leaking by her ex manager

whatever

I thought her label was against her tho or was That for basic instinct?

Oop just read gene post

Why did her label screw her over?
They forced her to go in the studio with T-Pain, in hopes of getting a Kiss Kiss tea but the only things to come from those sessions were tired and uninspiring mess. Not sure what made them do it, but Go Girl was a single Ci did not want to lead the album. The C's remember watching her half ass announcement of the song at the bowling alley, so visibly over it.

I remember trying to get into the album but the only song I liked was basically "Tell Me What Your Name Is." Was "Love Sex Magic" her idea?
