sorry, but Kelly just isnt smart. This is not how you make a new group to have a big impact. this sounds like a Kelly leftover, the song wont go anywhere outside of usa.

@Libra well, since the song clearly sounds like a Kelly song..... I say she played a big part, lol. That or her label gave her song to the group since they didnt plan to use it for Kelly.

in any case, this is really poor as a debut single, imho. I think they could come much harder, specially being that young. Normally new artists most of the times start their careers with a clear HIT song.

some quick examples that come to mind now:

Alicia with Fallen
Gaga with Just dance
Britney with Baby one more time
Christina with Genie in a bottle
Kelly Rowland with Dilemma
Tinashe with 2 on
Megan Trainor with All about that bass

and the list goes on and on.

This song wont be that case. So for that alone, this song wasnt a smart decision.

i don't think this part is Kelly's decision....

Even if it aint, Kelly will get all the blame for it so she better gear up. Musically, we've seen where she had them recording her leftover tracks on the actual show. People are naturally gonna compare even with their future material. Im more surprised that LA Reid OK'd this.

And the whole set up of thiis release was so premature. Ooh, livestream and announcement and single release. To be honest, I think they are releasing too early. They shouldve waited until the premiere of the next season or do some kinda BET special until the 2nd season. All Of Us actually rose up the iTunes charts much faster than LANCE.
