The 2016 BET awards are taking place tonight (June 27) and The Rapfest has exclusively learned that Beyonc? and Kendrick Lamar are opening the show!

Just two months after the release of her sixth studio album Lemonade, Beyonce will set the tone for this years award show by performing her song Freedom featuring Kendrick Lamar live and in person. The song dedicated to the Black Lives Matter movement, will surely be an unforgettable performance that will go down in the history books. The performance comes just days before Beyonce goes overseas for the European leg of the Formation World Tour. This year BET Awards wil be hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross and Anthony Anderson. The BET Awards will air tonight at 8 ET on BET and 17 other Viacom stations including MTV and VH1.
