I want Brandy to get a record deal. I'm probably in the minority, but whatever.

I just don't think we're getting music this year. Sad to say it. Maybe another track, but EP? LP? Don't hold your breath.

Lowkey I want her to get a good ass deal too maybe back at Atlantic or something... she needs all the backing that she can get! But I get the whole independent movement, I look at it as a stepping stone for her to really become the "Young Sonja" and get business savy before she gets a new deal... The next deal if granted is going to be a major one, she ain't gon sign no BS again...

Honestly, the days of great deals for Brandy are probably over. Sis is pushing 40, and unfortunately here in the US that's pretty much when gorls get put out to pasture.

We MAY get this album before then, but I can guarantee you the next won't come until she's in her 40s.

That's not to say that she can't still book, but it gets more difficult for female artists the older they get.

I dunno something tells me Brandy won't get another good major deal.
Unless she goes ham independent and they change their minds
the tour is a great start and a great idea to show her capability, I'll say that. She and MBK are killing in that area  :dead:
all she needs is new music to accompany it. She's allegedly already in talks to tour the US, and likely getting some sort of sponsoring, so THAT seems to be working out.

Just need some new songs  :dead: like 4 or 5 at least. jeez

!!!!!!!!!!!

Touring is the smartest way to show ur capability b/c that's where all the money is made and recouping from anyway.... If she can sell out shows and be seen as a great performer for sponsors to invest in, she's def gon have ppl wanting to sign her after this legal shit is done

I can't lie that's my only worry, if this next era is not "successful" her pushing close to 40 is gon b a issue for these labels & she might as well just continue as a actress/Broadway star smh

Yeah even an epic 5 Track EP to hold the Gorls over where she has total control of how it'll be sonically is what she needs. She had the entire industry buzzing. She's fucking Brandy.

I don't get the silence and mess but I know she's working.

B&P kinda came outta nowhere, so the EP thing may Very well happen. I can see her releasing one before she starts a U.S. Leg of her tour

b

We also SAW those flyers saying she would be performing new music in the UK.

girl labels will continue to try to get over on sis for now

that's kinda been our problem. I just don't see the rush to go major when she keeps her face out there so easily via tv/broadway/other things

during all this MESS... independent music could've been out.. I mean... an alberm out while Zoe was showing

... the reality is no major is biting

I see what you're saying, but Ghan is not entering the game at 40. She's BEEN in the game and has an established track record that isn't stale or one-sided. She can literally do everything, from music, TV, films, modeling, Broadway, hosting... :plzstop:

She has to find a deal that's right for her, if that's what she wants. Most labels are probably offering her a 360 though, which is smart for business but not the best move for Bran.

It doesn't matter how long you been in the game.
Unless you're pushing major units these labels could care less.

Let's keep it real, Brandy isn't pushing huge numbers. Not many R&B gorls are. So unless she does a 360 mess the labels aren't gonna just throw coins & contracts at her like that. No shade.

KING BENTLEY.

Am mean.... FCK a major tbh
If they wouldn't pay for DYK and made sis spend coin on WD who needs em

H.#.G.*.Z

Brandy better off independent. Only thing a label is good for nowadays is radio and distribution. All she needs is joint venture mess to get her product out there on the shelves in stores.
