Chris Brown has never been one to hold his tongue. Hence, true to form, he?s taken to Instagram to hit back at the dramas ? both legal and beyond ? that have encased his name in recent days.

As reported, the ?Back To Sleep? singer has been accused of assaulting his longtime (and, now, former) manager. He also hit the newswire this week after a fiery text exchange saw his publicist quit.
Naturally, his image is taking quite the beating. And he?s now sticking up for himself.

in being fair, unbiased, and putting the franticness of how he typed to one side, it?s arguable that there is truth to the fact that some sects of the media do indeed thrive off drama.
What we can?t get with, though, is his clear casting of himself in the victim role. The notion of ?it?s all happening to me? versus actually causing it himself. Or, at the very least, owning up to being part and parcel of the problem in a more substantial way.
Additionally, there?s something quite irksome about artists who play down the village (see: publicists, managers, and execs) who mould their momentum.
If talent and self-belief were the only prerequisites for success then there?d be 100 other Chris Brown?s on the charts at the same time.
The reality is that there are hundreds of thousands of equally talented acts who?ve yet to get a big break? and may never. A fact we?re sure Chris knows, yet one we?re not sure he values as much as he should. Specifically in regard to how he (mis)handles his career.
For yours truly, the Michael Jackson comparison is especially grating because ? even when faced with adversity ? he handled hishurdles with class and decorum. Can Chris say the same?
It seems someone still has a lot of growing to do. Yet, after so many chances, does anyone even care to wait anymore?
