Atlanta?s Piedmont Park is closed this morning as an investigation in underway after the body of a Black male was found HANGING from a tree near the park?s entrance.

Atlanta Police have issued a statement saying that the scene is ?consistent with a suicide,? however social media is not letting this story slide that easy. Social media has been trending with questions about the bizarre incident, which many news outlets are refusing to report because the APD has issued a report claiming that it was a suicide.

I feel like alot of people don't want to consider it suicide because people don't believe black people commit suicide/have mental health issues.

I remember when a white girl asked me why black people don't commit suicide or have mental issues. I was so confused.

Most suicides are not carried out in public gestures or a tableaux. As such, it should be investigated. If it turns out not to be a suicide though, APD is going to catch hell for trying to cover it up.
