The Season 5 debut of "Homeland" delivered 1.66 million viewers for its initial broadcast and 2.1 million for the night. Both figures are up a tick from the 1.61 million and 1.99 million who tuned into the show's 2014 premiere.

"The Affair" had a bigger bump with its second-season opener. The initial telecast drew 815,000 people, up 61 percent from the series premiere a year ago. Additional broadcasts brought its total to 1.05 million for the night (vs. 809,000 last year). Early on-demand and streaming views bring its total to 1.54 million.
