I recently just learned that my grandma didn't follow any religions. She only started being Catholic because of my grandpa but my mom told me how she never heard her read the bible or praise God Apparently she practiced witchcraft  but for some reason my mom won't divulge in it more

My grandad is a witchdoctor  and recently I made a thread saying I found some Fetish dolls in my mothers suitcase
She pours libations every morning and asks her ancestors for protection and prays for the same thing one would normally do in any religion.

i really don't believe in organized religion . I respect everyone's beliefs as I hope they'd respect mine but I find more of a connection and peace with personal spirituality . Also, connecting with my ancestors.

Just having one of my moms rings brings me so much purpose and power and encouragement.

Great Grandmas work comforts me and puts me at ease. People will assume that if ur not in church u must not be spiritual .

When I was visiting my family in Houston at Christmas my mom told me that my grandfather's side of the family practiced voodoo HEAVILY back in the say. Some of them still do.

She said that a lot of people were afraid of them. She told me several stories. It was kinda creepy, but intriguing at the same time.

Apparently my great grandmother pretty much ran a damn COVEN of sorts
