I did. I preferred and still prefer her over Whit, Toni and Celine. Mimi was the first MC album I listened in full though. I was like 15 or 16 then. After that, I dived into her albums bit by bit. Still can't get thru Rainbow and Whisper-bracelet though.

I love all the ladies you mention. But I've always stanned for Mariah Carey. She was my 90s. Rainbow cool. Charm is cool too. It has a few decent tracks on it.

One of the reasons why I respect and love her more than Toni, Whit and Celine is because she's more of an artist than them. She writes and producers her own music. She doesn't just sing the songs but she's actually the one responsible for creating her own hits. That, and she improved my vocabulary. She wins!

Celine and the rest are very much a part of the process though. You can't see any of them are more of an artist than the other  there are a host of things that make up an ARTIST and it isn't just writing or producing. Hate when people say shit like that lol

I'm speaking moreso about the creation of the music. Whitney, Toni and Celine don't write their songs like that. Their biggest hits were written by other artists. MC's biggest hits (Hero, Vision Of Love, We Belong Together, etc) were written by her. I just respect that more.
