And was pleasantly surprised that the salary offer was 5K more than we originally discussed. I think the recruiter forgot she said another number during our first conversation, but who am I to correct her! LMAO!

She said what she said

Was on the fence about the switch but after meeting with the company in person earlier this week I felt it was what I deserved. I have earned my spot in this Midtown Manhattan office. I have worked my ass off. I've always had my endeavors but never let my head get too far into a cloud that my "real world" skill set and value suffered.
I rarely say this but sometimes it is necessary. God is good. Any time that I push myself out from somewhere I always know that there will be a better situation waiting for me when I arrive at the new destination. Even if I don't have it yet. I'm learning to have faith in myself and realize the VALUE of the consistent work I've put in.
I'm so happy right now.
And so proud that I'm going to be part of a team that is helping people. So happy that they are not there exclusively for numbers and bottom lines (at least at the surface). It is a win win situation.
