Talk about a (potentially) great start. Britney Spears? comeback single ?Make Me? featuring G-Eazy has received a warm reception from critics and it looks like the easy-breezy tune is set to make a nice debut on Hot 100 chart, according to a new report from Billboard themselves.
In a new installment of Ask Billboard, which was published on Sunday (July 17), the industry big-wig shared some early feedback about the BURNS-produced cut. ?Following a full first week of sales and streaming (ending July 21), ?Make Me? should blast onto the Aug. 6-dated Hot 100, whose top 10 will be revealed a week from tomorrow, on Monday, July 25,? the report read. ?It could arrive as Spears? first top 10 since early 2013, when ?Scream & Shout,? with will.i.am, reached No. 3.?


Billboard also reached out to radio to get some insider feedback on the track, which finds Britney breaking her out-of-the-gate club formula. ?The honest read is big. Today on Y100, it?s a whole lot of BS!,? iHeartMedia WHYI (Y100) Miami program director Alex Tear told Billboard on Friday. If that wasn?t enough love, the station played classic after classic during the day of its premiere. We?re talking ??Baby One More Time,? ?(You Drive Me) Crazy? and ?I?m a Slave 4 U.?
Billboard also offered up some recent sales stats on B?s previous releases.
