What gimmicks has Bey used? I'm confused.

meanwhile Bey kinda broke records with her album sales and just picked up 3 Grammys and a historic Vogue cover

The song premiered on BBC Radio 1 on February 24, 2015 and it was released for digital download as the soundtrack's lead single the same day though Westbury Road. The song was set to impact mainstream radio on March 17, 2015 however the radio release was cancelled.

Due to subpar reception she/team canceled anything to do with it and the movie/sndtrk moved on to Jlo's song "Feel the Light" ...

So yeah, kinda sorta 4 singles
