to me this explains it all :

Interviewer: Celibacy? is there a reason for that or are you just over men?

Myer- noooooooooooooooooo    its never being over men i just think that its ok to be by yourself  you know so that you can focus on you and  really concentrate on what you don?t want and understand what you do want who you are at the core and sometimes that takes removing  certain negative or just energies so that you can be clear with yourself

she has men kinda lined up but shes conflicted so shes just shutting it down and being alone for a while untill she figures it out

and sometimes that takes removing  certain negative or just energies

those dudes that were lined up is like hey girl whats the hold up why cant we get our thang goin
and shes shutting them down so she can figure it out because if she entertains them she might give in and never figure it out

so that you can be clear with yourself

Um...Mya is closer to her family more then ever before. So I'm sure if she was to "come out" she'd have no problem telling them.

Maybe Mya come off the way she do in interviews or give the responses she gives regarding relationships, monogamy, etc because of her past family drama. Maybe she's ok and content with being alone at this point in her life with everything she has gone through professionally and personally. Do you blame her? In the beginning of her career she went through so much her mother battling breast cancer, her parents divorce, finding out her father cheated on her mother. Her family wasn't even on speaking terms at one point.
