Rasheeda Says the Drama on ?Love & Hip Hop Atlanta? Isn?t Worth Her Time
Rasheeda may not return for another season of ?LHHATL.?Rasheeda and Kirk Frost were barely seen on the last season of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta and in a new interview, Rasheeda says that she is over the drama and it has us thinking that season 5 of the show may have been her last.
Speaking to VH1 following the explosive LHHATL reunion, Rasheeda says that she didn?t have any time for the nonsense this past year. ?There?s just gotta come a time when you outgrow that. You don?t wanna be in the catty b.s. all the time about a whole bunch of s?t that?s just dumb and don?t make no sense,? she explains. ?I just don?t have time for it. My time is more valuable than a whole bunch of bulls?t so I choose to be with my family and try to better myself as a woman, and build my brand, and just continue to move forward. Be a little more, let?s say classy and [more of a] grown woman.?
Clarifying that it wasn?t something her and Kirk talked about before shooting scenes for the show, Rasheeda says that taking a back seat just came naturally. ?Oh, it wasn?t anything that we even discussed. It?s just where I?m at, as a woman, period,? she says. ?I feel like when you dedicate your time, you need to dedicate it to stuff that?s important, and a lot of times the drama and the other stuff that some of the other ladies be doing or be about, to me, is not worth my time.?
At this year?s reunion, the cast was forced to shoot separately due to the restraining order between Joseline Hernandez and Tommie Lee but the change in scenery didn?t upset Rasheeda. ?It didn?t really make me no difference, honestly,? she reveals. ?For the for the look of the show, yeah, because we don?t need another reunion that?s just ridiculous like we?ve had before. Super violent, super crazy, people not being able to control people, people coming after people, blindsided, and all of that. We ain?t need no more of that,? she says, referencing Joseline?s throw down in New York a few seasons back.
While Rasheeda is clearly past the drama, her friends Mimi Faust and Karlie Redd seem to be engaging with it more than ever before. ?I know that those lines can get real blurred sometimes, between your reality and the reality TV, and I feel like women be out here doing what they feel like they need to do,? says Rasheeda, shading Mimi and Karlie. ?I can?t judge nobody on it but I will say that there comes a point in time in a woman?s life where they need to start making decisions.?
When your mom has a more prominent role on your show than you do, then it?s probably time to move on. We?ve enjoyed watching and getting to know Rasheeda and her family but if she wants to remove herself from the drama then she should probably remove herself from the show, too.
Love & Hip Hop Atlanta will return next year.
