And would you feel comfortable telling your status to a person you have just been dating for a few days or weeks? After all they could run around telling everyone.

Some people have sex on the first date. Yu'd rather put them at risk because you're paranoid?

Gilgamesh.

No, I wouldn't feel comfortable dating a person that's HIV+

but at least if they told me in the very early stages I can make an informed decision, and personally (I know not everyone thinks like this) i'd have respect for them for letting me know. If we've been talkin for a week or more i'm sure the topic of sex, relationship history etc has come up - you can't just SKIM over your status :uhh:

And some people are unlucky to catch it through oral sex

Gilgamesh.

If I'm aided up and plan on being intimate with someone of course I'm gonna tell them. The amount of time we've been dating is irrelevant.

Didn't we go over condoms breaking already?

If somebody told me they had HIV I would immediately stop any romantic interaction with them. And for that reason I can empathize with them wanting to keep their status to themselves. I certainly commend and respect honesty, but I cannot expect someone to put my life before theirs.

And regardless of what somebody tells me, I am going to still take precautionary actions regardless. Someone telling me they are negative, is not going to make me trust them sexually.

That is honorable but also could ruin your entire life, your info possibly spilling into the entire world, back to your family, friends and the public. I really think it is great if you can be honest, but in this society I can understand if people chose not to disclose that information.
