Is it really the joint though?

Cassie is prepping a return to the scene and it looks like we just got our first taste of her 2016 self. Ahead of her comeback single ?Makeup,? which Diddy teased last night on Snapchat, a brand-new track called ?Joint (No Sleep)? surfaced on Thursday night (September 1).

On the almost three-minute cut, which was produced by The Stereotypes, the 30-year-old star boasts about hitting the dancefloor and doing so without an ounce of sleep. It features fairly minimal production, but, unfortunately, doesn?t really do much to actually entice listeners. Monotone vocals? Check. Sub-par hook? Check. It is a cut for the Honey 3: Dare to Dance soundtrack (Yes, Honey 3), which stars the the singer/model and Kenny Wormald, but let?s be clear. This is no ?Me & You.?

The soundtrack for the film drops on September 2 and features additional tunes from Dawin, Jason Derulo and Major Lazer.

Detail (Beyonc?, Jennifer Lopez) worked on ?Makeup? and we have a feeling it?ll be stronger than this. After all, he was the man to deliver ?Drunk In Love.? During an interview at the VMAs, Cassie gushed about the next chapter in her career. ?I did a lot of records with Detail. We have a single coming up called ?Makeup,? which I think the ladies are gonna love?coming soon.?

LOONA.

This is a mess, but it's only for a soundtrack so meh.

Sounds like Detail tried to imitate Ryan Leslie.

Gilgamesh.

Haven't listened yet but if you like it i'm sure it sucks.
