EXACTLY!!

this basically means she isnt a natural artist. Just everything so calculated/staged. Lacking authenticity, naturalness and spontaneity, qualities that great artists have. Cant praise an artist that lacks spontaneity and ability to play and have fun on stage

Yeah she's said plenty of times she's not comfortable with being in the spotlight.

Red carpets, interviews, and dancing on stage are things she's adjusting to.
She really hates red carpets the most though.

there is something about her stage persona that is off. She has it all, voice, look and all, but...... its like she always plays safe and lacks energy/attitude. She never looks like she gives her all, unlike other artists.

just an example, watch Jessie J performing and you can tell she goes OFF, the right energy, attitude, she FEELS it. Ariana on other hand just seems unbothered, like "let me sing this and go back to my hotel". also the song just ended and she quickly went to quick "smile mode". Like... if she wasnt really into the song, making the previous work look fake, in that sense

She's just not 100% comfortable onstage yet.

she's been performing on stage since she was like 12 years old, broadway, tv, concerts, etc...

she's now 23. She should've adjusted long time ago...

Mariah carey has been performing longer and she has said she doesnt love the touring/performing aspect either. She too is awkward onstage. Being a singer doesn't automatically translate into great onstage performer, So PLEA! She's making strides and this was a pretty good performance
