I'm white. I'm not racist. I usually love Buzzfeed. But that video bothered me. There were a few questions I could sort of laugh at, like the horror movie one, but this video was racist. Why do the white people these people have met represent MY entire race? Just because it's usually the other way around doesn't make it right.

1. Why do you assume all white people are privileged? My mom struggled to put meals on the table.
2. Why do you assume I swore at my parents? Cuz I never did.
3. I was born with straight hair, why would you straighten your hair?? It's offensive that your copying my 'culture'.
4. Why do you get to make a video criticizing white culture but your culture may never be criticized?
5. Why are there riots across the US fighting a black mans wrongful death, but never a white mans?
6. Why do you assume I care about your skin color? I don't make friends based on there color, I base it on there personality.
7. Why is your hair part of your culture? My ancestors have always had straight hair, and no one gets offended when you wear your hair straight.
8. Why do you assume I don't fight back when I hear a racist comment? I do, every time.
9. Why do you take offense when people fight for a lions life, after nearly a year and half of riots fighting against wrongful deaths of black men?
10. So when I hear you say the N-word does that give me the right to say it also? Because I feel it is inappropriate of anyone to say, no matter the color.

I, too, kind of go um... when black people say white people are copying them when they copy the European look and standards on a daily basis. But of course their answer to that is always something like, "Well, I HAVE to assimilate myself to whiteness."
