this is honestly sad and kind of embarrassing
I wouldve sworn the Empire cast would be getting the MOST
besides race I think the fact that network TV is dirt cheap vs cable channels and streaming services is a factor
Taraji & Terrance should try to get the show moved to like Showtime or Epix if they want more money
The Rock is booking over at HBO

Opposites Attract.

I think Oscar nomination don't play a factor on TV because TV projects and MP are separate entities. So I can understand a film actor coming into the TV genre getting less pay because they don't have the leverage but once a show takes off and take off as huge as it did it's time to renegotiate them contracts.

It's unconditional, these days you know....

I would say this is race related, but it's not.
Most white (established) actors with clout behind them, are not getting paid that much on these lists.
Look at the NETWORKS first, that plays a major part.

Yes the hell it is.

Taraji & Terrence are both established, Oscar nominated actors and they're only making 175k
compared to these other White actors bringing in double or more.

Well, we'll just have to agree to disagree.
I really looked at that list.
All the factors.
Starting off with 150k on a new show is actually a lot -- especially when the show hasn't proven itself. These salaries are from a contract that we know nothing about yet. But it is safe to say that a 2nd contract has not been drafted yet.

You have the SUV main female character making 450k after ALL those successful seasons.
There's more elements that determine the salary.

Terrence and Taraji making 2.1 million for 12 episodes is not bad for a first season. Given all the factors. I bet when that new contract is drafted and signed we'll be seeing a major difference given the show's popularity and success.

I'm looking at this carefully...
And it looks fair.

Most of the highest paid actors salaries are based on the NETWORKS their on, and the AMOUNT OF TIME the show has been a success. Vs. anything else.

The only one that's OFF is Kristen Bell's salary compared to the others. But that girl has clout and I'm sure she negotiated that DEAL for herself lf.
Don't come for my girl Veronica Mars

I love that girl. Trust.
But she negotiated a great deal.
