and Full Moon was not a risk musically
she got older, got pregnant and started singing adult themes
her and Rodney had had already created a sound on NSN and they just continued to move forward on FM, it's the best album ever but it's not risky. Its R&B
eeeeeeeek
I really dont want to continue a convo about her in here
but FM is anything BUT a standard R&B album
its an evolution that set the standard for the sound
we hear in music today
:uhh:
its not "standard" but it wasn't a risk
it was a natural progression from NSN, it wasn't left field for her
only thing that was VERY different was her voice getting lower

Who else at that time of music was doing electronic R&B
Raymond please :dead:

"haters!
and it def broke because he went from 10 mill to 1 to barely gold
By this logic Brandy went from 5 Mill on NSN to 1 Mill on FM to barely Gold on Afro
does that mean her music is bad too?
huh?
it clearly did break from him going diamond to a struggle platinum
Brandy took a massive musical risk from NSN to FM
What musically risk did Usher take from Confessions to Here I Stand?

This logic makes NO sense. You are literally saying Usher's nonchanging formula broke because his sales declined, but then referenced Brandy's growth, whose sales also plummeted. You're basically saying, without saying it, that both their methods broke because both their sales declined :uhh:
yes, well I'm saying that was Jayden's logic
in reality neither of them did anything wrong in my eyes
just showing him how dumb he sounded by saying Usher's sales decline directly correlated to bad music

It's not necessarily about taking risks anyways, is your shit referenced or not. Bran'd first four albums are all monumental blue print works for the generations of musicians to come.

Flush ain't got records like that, except Krustfessions

8701 and My Way are just as monumental as Brandy's first 4 albums

FlowerBomb

Jesus
you said Usher's formula worked hence him not needing to switch it up for years, when clearly it didnt work because he went from 10 million one album to 1 million to gold, so OBVIOUSLY that formula your saying was fine wasn't good enough anymore :dead:
Brandy's album underperformed because of label issue's NOT because of the material, every singer from this generation often sites FM & Afro as one of their main influences
Who was citing Here I Stand & the other albums as their's
To say Full Moon was not a risk musically when no one else was giving those complex vocals over electronic beats at that time is foolish :dead:

FlowerBomb

and even IF others had touched on it prior to Full Moon no one took it to that level vocally like Brandy did
It was risky for HER, from traditional R&B to something edgier, sexier and non conformist
Usher has been releasing the same content every album  :uhh:

FlowerBomb

frrrr I forgot how dense he can be, after that Aaliyah I should have learnt :dead:
nvm ray  :jackiessales:

wizzy

I was really hoping he just made a typo
but
