So, on a night where the industry recognises her achievement she sings songs half of them won't know about? 
I think none has said she should ONLY perform album cuts or new songs. She can start with a hits medley and end with a hot new song or viceversa, start with an album cut and end with the biggest hit.
The thing is to give a bit of something FRESH/Not overdone.
Two years ago she performed I wanna be down at Bet hip hop awards, last year Baby, this year just old singles again, so what do you guys want after? in 2 years the same old songs, 5 years later the same 90s songs, 10 years later the same old songs over and over and over?
When will she actually show the audience something NEW? never? Do you guys want Bran to just stay in the past?
Its about being a bit creative with your performances, not giving the audience the same thing after 20/15 years and call it a day. At least add a cover in the middle of the medley, just SOMETHING
