Whats more interesting to me is how for many cis gay men
acknowledging masc and fem is frowned upon

but among many trans people its very important to aline yourself
with one or the other to be perceived as you'd like
even if it's not said blatantly

My grandmother went with me to my highschool luncheon and she said something that made me 
The #1 person in our class was a guy and he happened to be gay.  He really had an impressive list of accomplishments. Like he was on jeopardy, already had completed some college, etc. He's actually a writer for Empire now but ANYWAY she leant in like "is he gay?" I was like yea, granny. "I knew it, aint no regular boy that smart."
