I mean who in their right mind wants to embrace an ac' mug ??
I've seen people who have bigger problems than acne and fully embrace it

That's God given beauty. Even down to the symmetry of it all.
No one is born with acne
Although you may be more genetically prone to having acne issues it isn't something you have to deal with all your life if taken care of properly.
It isn't some freckles or mess
Acne can be remedied. I really don't think the two should be compared or viewed as similar.
it's really not about what's comparable and what isn't.
alicia's entire stance is challenging the social standards of beauty.
the girl I've just posted does not meet those social standards that alicia is trying to go against.
standards dictate that skin should be even, smooth, one complexion.
anything outside of that isn't meeting standards, whether it's acne, or a condition someone's born with...there are people who have been in house fires who look like the girl I've posted. so it's not always a result of "God given beauty" bvy.
So it's perfectly logical for someone to wonder why Alicia waited until her "natural" tea met more of these standards before she decided to become this naturalista. It's a lot easier to give natural when your "natural" is first developed by dermatologists, then perfected by "natural makeup". bitch went thru an assembly line that ended with kente cloth.
Get what I mean?

Sis if you escaped a fire you do NOT look like you have vitiligo

No but I get what you mean. And I wasn't saying you shouldn't embrace how you look if you have acne.
I'm just thinking she honestly feels more confident to do so now.
That's a pretty understandable reason in my opinion.
And it wasn't always like she stay caked up in makeup because she had acne. We saw her out and about without makeup even with her skin issues.
She even was a proactive spokesperson and publicly spoke on her battle with it.
So TBH this movement is more respectable coming from someone like Alicia because she's always been transparent about things she's dealt with.
I'll give her that.
My whole thing is I just don't think it's fair to say she now is doing this because her skin has cleared up.
Maybe she just really did some Soul searching
