I also think men have a different standard that's not as harsh. Men with laugh lines and sun freckles aren't automatically frowned upon. If a women gets one wrinkle, all hell breaks loose.

This is true too. That's why women are so hard on themselves. The standards for a good looking woman are higher. Like a big man and a big woman are on two opposite ends of the spectrum
