i wasnt paying much attention to his hair but it slipped my mind that this wet and wavy look wasnt his normal hair texture either

What you see is a difference between unkept and naturally moisturized and gelled to keep his pattern in.

His curl pattern is very tight. A texturizer wouldn't give those results.
He has normal, well Kept black hair.

My hair does do this when i grow it out and its wet. It looks exactly like his but it doesn't hold that curl when it's dry. I don't necessarily think that he altered his hair but there are products that help to achieve a desired look. The mooses, gels n shit. I think that's what he has going on.  Iono because I've never attempted to actually wear that style but im PRETTY sure he uses a product to create that wet look
