This performance looks like something Britney would give in Vegas right now.


They didn't have the same technology back in the 80s as we do now. When Bey lips she has very realistic live sounding tracks and other trickery that makes it look more real. 


Same as when Independence Day came out I thought it was so high tech and realistic looking, and now the graphics almost look cheesy.  That's the difference of changing technology.

But Mike was still giving an 80's studio mess even when pre-records were available.

Like Janet still playing that original studio recording of "Rhythm Nation" whenever it's performed.
