I think the comment about my hair is so stupid. On my instagram you can literally see bantu knots, braids, relaxed hair, natural hair, short, long... I just switch it up. There is no reoccuring pattern of trying to look, like something I am not, or pass for a race that I am not.

The comment is just stupid. I am not even that fancy or boastful with my hair.

It would be a different story, if I tried to grease and oil up my hair every day for hours and then basking in comments about my curls, as if they are special. If somebody wants curls, they can have them. it is that easy. I know hair.

And I am proudly Nigerian, just like my sis Dencia you like to praise. She doesn't hate herself according to your logic, so why would I for having straightened my hair a few times. We just switch it up. Nigerians are just as diverse as their ideas, music and yh hairstyles. A bit of "I'm every womans"

Where is the difference between relaxer, straightening, using gel to curl it. You style your hair, it is dead cells anyway, I am young and it easily grows back. I can literally count on my one hand how many times I have relaxed my hair. It does not affect my health in any way, and it merely a different style. It is not my permanent look, it is one of many. I wear hats most of the time anway. When you you want to do braiding styles, which I do every now and again, often it is recommended to relax your hair, as it makes it more manageable.


I mean what is so hard to understand. I absolutely have no issue with my hair texture, I always was the first one to say I have 4c hair in every thread.
